Updating in boredom

Ibu don't snap!!

I look messy lar~~

Xkesahla.. Put more Papa. More berries. :P

Mind me……

Weekends hav always been the days that I’ve been waiting for. Spending time with Papa n Iman, catching up with what we’d missed during weekdays. But not this time. Blog-wise, I do have several things to update but I just don’t feel like doing so. My mood swings several times this week which I don’t even know why. N this morning, Papa had left very early for his 1 week trip. 9 days to be exact. Well, I guess the swings are because of Papa’s long journey. We’ll get the chance to meet again only nx Sunday. Nx Sunday, ok! Not Sunday as in tomorrow. This morning Iman was very cranky. She super-screamed her lung out everytime I moved away from her. As if I want to leave her. Man, that was heart-breaking. She senses Papa’s departure even though she was in a deep-sleep when Papa left. My parents are in Padang rite now n will only be back by tomorrow. Suddenly, I felt everybody is soooo far away...

Me, I’m not in the mood to do anything. I just fulfilled the necessary checklist. My chores. The rest, just put them aside. I had to settle my bills today n ‘excellently’ the system deducted twice. Bijak!!! So, I had to call the bank n they’ll take 2 damn weeks to clear things up!! N ok, that was not in my checklist. Grr~~

Whatever it is, alhamdulillah my motherly affection is still in tact, n I don’t vent my anger to Iman. I really pity her every time she cries. We r facing the same situation, huh? But perhaps she doesn’t really have other channel to express it, so, she cries. Unlike me.

Nhow, just to meet the minimum criteria, I’m updating about our hours spent during our uni frenz wedding. Don’t get me wrong as the wedding was awesome. It was another uni gath but with a different crowd. I excitedly told Papa that I want to update my excitement meeting my uni frenz plus the bliss of the wedding n the princess-like bride but today, the boredom kills all my excitement. Sigh~~

N now, I’m trying my best not to share to the least. :)

What’s interesting about the wedding?
1. The food was very nice. I wish I took more. Huhuhu…
2. The groom (Cha) was very charming n the bride (Aja) was very-very beautiful. Iman amazingly looked at her n never let go.
3. I met my old IT frenz!!! I met Ju, Ayu, Baity, Masterq, Dayah, Ina, n few others. It had been a while since we last met. N of course, updates, updates n updates…
4. I saw my old colleagues from far, didn’t get the chance to say hi coz they were busy with the wedding.
5. Due to the boredom, this is all I can think of at the moment. Huhuhu…

As usual, our compulsary shot!!

Congrats Cha n Aja!! Welcome to the club....

Wohohoho… This entry really makes somebody misses Papa badly. Sobsobsob~~

Commemorate 10th Yr of High School Graduation

High school was definitely one of several awesome journey in my life. Woke up @ 6, dressed up, had breakfast n rushed to school by 7. A 5 mins delay made us stuck in traffic n made me stand up in the late-comers’ row. Consequently, I had to do some community service; sweeping the corridor or the main hall. Wahahaha… To make it worst, some junior came to me asking what on earth was I doing. N my simplest n shameless answer was, “ Akak tgk tpt nih kotor sgt, sbb tu akak sapu”. Eceh ;)

Anyhow, my high school was fun. Being in a single-sex school was even better as u can do anything without worrying about the perception from the guys. Hohohoh… Stories from my frenz whom went to co-ed school really became my nightmares. I don’t think I’m blunt or even strong enough to go through any annoying tease from the boys. Xsuke, xsuke~~

1 Lily, 2 Daisy, 3 Orchid, 4 & 5 Lily. Those were my classes. My circle of frenz kept on changing but my gang was definitely a finite. Mel, Shuhada, Aisyah, Zalina n Zureen. I was once being told that my gang is kinda elite, which I often wonder from where on earth they got that info. All of us came from a normal family, we didn’t have personal drivers to send us to school. In fact, we had to walk about 1km to reach the bus station n took the town bus back home, ok!!! Perhaps those people who’d said such thing was just sooo jealous with my gang~~ Pity u!!

Nway, I’m blessed to hav such dear frenz n we still keep in touch. This year commemorates our 10th year of high school graduation. N we have been frenz for 15 years. Or even more!!! Cheers~~

Chasing for different dreams, going for different path didn’t stop our friendship. Along the way we had several get-together but never had the chance to hav a complete crowd. The last time we had everybody’s presence was on my wedding in 2007.

Back in 2007: Main campak2 bunge japs~

This year, after nearly 2 years, the history repeats. We reunited during Zureen’s wedding in Ulu Kinta. This time, there was a bigger crowd (got the chance to meet Aisyah’s fiancé). N of course with the presence of my love ones, Papa n Iman. :)

Ibu, where's the bride?

We arrived around 12.30 n stayed for almost an hour. Few chit-chats n catching up stories, met Bedah, Puteri n Izza (owh, she’s married; with a son). Photo session is a must!!

L-R: Shuhada, Mel, Zalina, Iman, Ibu Iman, Puteri, Bedah, Aisyah

The dishes look yummy~

We didn’t stay for long cause Iman got restless n some of us started to disperse. We left with our must-do event, our compulsory shot. Hihihi...

Iman: Aiyaya, Ibu. Aren't we done yet? :P

Anyway, congrats to Zureen n Hasnan!!! InsyaAllah, we shall meet again this June for Aisyah’s wed. See ya~~

Adventurous is her middle name

Iman turns 11 months today… Watsup with her now?!! She walks!!!! She can actually walk but of course trying very hard to balance herself. Started with 2 steps, now she can walk 5-6 steps. Yippie!! U go gurl~~

Gosh, it was just like yesterday she started to crawl. But now she starts to walk. Adventurous, indeed because she often dare herself to do sth new daily. She will just grab sth to stand up n turn n walk. She bulldozes anything in front of her to get anything that she aims for. She gets curious when she noted sth new. She wants to touch anything that is new to her, just to feel the texture. Me, I find it challenging to catch up with every single thing that she does or discover because she learns so fast. Owh, she can sip using a straw!! N sometimes she’s rough. N she lurveessss balls!!! Aiyama!!! So, we bought colourful balls, with girlie cartoons on it n moved away all the boyish stuff. Kuang3…

Owh, she really understands what we r talking about. (so, need to be extra careful with anything that we utter). She looked down when we scolded her and cried if what we said hurts her so much. Man, she grows too fast!!! Chill my dear, let's live gracefully, OK?!

Ibu, is this ur credit card? Weee~~
(She lurvees to explore my purse n Papa's wallet)

Tag again… Preggy Tag

This tag requires me to recall all the sequence of event that had happened during my pregnancy. Thanx a bunch to Mommy Lyna. Sigh~~ =P

Ok, it was the best moment ever. Well, all of the moments during my marriage life are the best moments ever. Peace~~ Nhow, let me take u to my pregnancy journey. Eceh…

1. WAS YOUR FIRST PREGNANCY PLANNED?
Not sure. I did not get pregnant straight away after our Big Day. So, a month later, Papa bought 1 software, ‘Ovulation Calendar’ to track my cycle. He really tracked my cycle, OK!! Me, couldn’t care less. As long as my period comes every month, I shouldn’t be bother. Nway, with the software, we can approximately estimate the ovulation period n all the this n that, so, we started to work on that basis. N alhamdulillah, I got pregnant about a month later. Hmm, I guess it was planned, huh?

2. WHAT WAS YOUR SECOND CHOICE NAME FOR YOUR OPPOSITE GENDER NAME?
We chose a name that suits for both genders. Iman is such a cute name n Iman can be a boy or a girl. We started to call our baby Iman since my 1st trimester. So, there was no 2nd choice.

3. WHAT WERE YOUR REACTIONS?
Me: Mixed feelings.
1. Very delighted, of course, this is what we hav been waiting for.
2. Worried because we were on a long-distance relationship, separated by the South China Sea. N I hav no idea how will it be if we were to continue living like that.
3. Guilty because I got preggy b4 my sis. Yeah, I know I shouldn’t feel that way but I just can’t stop it.
4. Confused because I’m not sure whether I was ready or not. Thanx to Papa who had really support me during that time n really changed my perceptions.

Papa: The most happiest man on earth. He grinned all the way. Very supportive and accommodating is the word. He did every single thing on earth to go through the pregnancy. He registered in babycentre. He downloaded n printed out all the articles about pregnancy. He didn’t allow me to carry anything. He warned me to take care of myself when he’s not around. He bought an expensive book about pregnancy n raising a baby as my preggy gift!! N the list went on n on. (Wah, thinking about this really makes me feel flattered n almost shed my tears.~~)

4. HOW OLD WERE YOU?
24 years old. (I was born end of the year, so I was still 24 yrs old when I discovered my pregnancy. Hehehe… )

5. HOW DID YOU FIND OUT YOU WERE PREGNANT?
Since our wedding, both of us traveled very often. We had never failed to meet once a week even though we lived very far away. After more than a month of traveling, I was extremely tired. N I was thinking of taking UPL. Papa told me that he noticed that my period was 1 day delayed. (He actually tracked, remember?!!). From that day on wards, I started to buy several test kits n a bottle of folic acid. I tested everyday because the line was very blurred. N updated Papa on the results. But somehow I knew that I was preggy. I went for scanning for the 1st time but the doctor was not really supportive. She said “ rahim awak bengkak tp tu xbermakne awak mengandung”. Hmm, thanx a lot doctor!! Frustratedly, I waited for Papa. Later went to scan at other clinic. He was so happy to see the heartbeat; n even instructed the doctor what to do!! Hahahaha..

6. WHO DID YOU TELL FIRST?
Papa-lah, of course~~

7. DID YOU WANT TO FIND OUT THE SEX?
Yes, but I don’t mind at all. It's just for shopping purposes

8. DUE DATE?
18th April 2008

9. DID YOU HAVE MORNING SICKNESS?
Yesss n I really enjoyed it. Hehehe…

10. WHAT DID YOU CRAVE?
My 1st trimester, I ate merely everything except for the food from the café. I was really into laksa n soto manikar.
My 2nd trimester, I craved for home-cooked food. I couldn’t take any of outside food except the fastfood. I would surely throw up once I got back from dining out. Yerp, I cooked everyday, except for the days that I really-really just can’t afford 2 cook. Oh, yeah, I craved for pisang goreng. We went back n forth of Kertih n sometimes to Kemaman for the hunt. There was 1 evening, I craved for pisang goreng but it was very difficult to find. We hunted till dusk n Papa felt guilty because didn’t manage to get any. So, we end up buying some bananas n some flour n made homemade pisang goreng. Wahahaha… (Papa actually told the owner of the grocery that I craved for pisang goreng. N she was very concerned, she taught him to make a crispy pisang goreng. nyum3). The same thing happened at my parents’. Papa n Abah went for pisang goreng hunt until late evening. Hav no idea why it was soooo difficult to get any!! Hohoho, I was such a pest back then. Hehehe…
My 3rd trimester was awesome. I wanted to eat all!!

11. WHO/WHAT IRRITATED YOU THE MOST?
I hated the smell of the office café. I hated the scent of the floor detergent that the cleaner used to mop my office’s floor. I hated the smell of my colleague’s hair gel. It was soooooo yuck!!! I guess he splashed 1 tube of hair gel per day!!! (Gosh, I really feel like throwing up now!!)

12. WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST CHILD’S SEX?
Girl.

13. DID YOU WISH YOU HAD THE OPPOSITE SEX?
Papa wanted a boy. I don’t mind at all.

14. HOW MANY POUNDS DID YOU GAIN THROUGHOUT THE PREGNANCY?
Around 12 kilos.

15. DID YOU HAVE A BABY SHOWER?
Nope. It is not necessary at all. To me, it’s just an event that was introduced by the Americans to waste our money. Better keep the money for raising Iman n her siblings.

17. DID YOU HAVE ANY COMPLICATIONS DURING YOUR PREGNANCY?
1. Anemia, iron-defiency. I had to take loads of huge iron pills. N that hardened my p**ps n made me constipate. Subsequently, I had to eat loads of prune.
2. I cramped few times. So, I need to swallow gigantic calcium pills. Papa was very supportive. He ensured I took all the pills!! Sigh~

18. WHERE DID YOU GIVE BIRTH?
Hospital Pusrawi, Jalan Tun Razak, KL

19. HOW MANY HOURS WERE YOU IN LABOR?
About 5 hours. Perhaps it should last a bit longer but Iman’s heart beat very fast which lead to fetal distress. So, my gynae suggest for C-Sect or else, she may not survive. That was a real nightmare.

20. WHO DROVE YOU TO THE HOSPITAL?
Papa. I was admitted on my check up day n stayed until the EDD. He was there ever since. Isn’t it sweet?? ;)

21. WHO WATCHED YOU GIVE BIRTH?
My gynae, my anesthetic specialist n several nurses. Papa was not allowed to join. :(

22. WAS IT NATURAL OR C-SECTION?
C-Section

23. DID YOU TAKE MEDICINE TO EASE THE PAIN?
I was on epi when I was in the OT.

24. HOW MUCH DID YOUR CHILD WEIGH?
3.14 kg.

25. WHEN WAS YOUR CHILD ACTUALLY BORN ?
On her EDD, 18th April 2008. Her eyes opened wide once she came out to the world. N scream her lung out. I really wish Papa was there to join my bliss.

26. WHAT DID YOU NAME HIM/HER?
Nur Iman Humayra. Nur – light, Iman – faith, Humayra - reddish cheek.

27. HOW OLD IS YOUR FIRST BORN TODAY?
Adorably turning 11 months.

28. WOULD YOU DO IT AGAIN?
DEFINITELY!!!

Man, this really made me recall my entire miracle journey. Was it terrifying? Never!!
Mommy Lyna!! Thanx a bunch for tagging me ~~ Seyes… :)

I want to tag Wafaa~~
